Hi Linda,
It took me a while to get back here, and I really appreciate the reply. That's very good to know that there is some organic food available up there. I've been places where there was literally none...not a good experience!

Thanks so much for your kindness in replying.

Hi Miriam . . . great to hear that you're planning to visit Happy Camp. We have a market in town with a small natural foods section. The owners will probably stock anything you ask for. I'm not sure if they have rice milk and nutritional yeast but they've definitely got tofu. I can check on those items to see if they stock them. Or you could call them. It is Parry's Market - the only market in Happy Camp other than the liquor store which is like a mini-mart. There's organic produce at Parrys and a weekly farmers market during summer months.

Hello, Linda,
I found your blog doing some Google searches for Happy Camp + Organic Grocery Store.

My husband and I are vegans, and have been trying to research what the food is like up in the Happy Camp area. Is there an organic grocery store in your town? Tofu? Nutritional Yeast? Rice Milk? Those kinds of things?

I hope you don't mind the questions, but it's a real blessing to find someone to ask who will understand what a vegan diet is, and why vegans have to find out if there will be anything to eat when they are on a journey.

I'd so appreciate any information you could give me. This is a very neat blog!
